How to Use the Anti-Flip Stick®

Written Instructions: Anti-Flip Stick®

1. Put the anti-flip stick onto the butt-end of a short iron.

2. Take your setup and keep the extended portion of the rod under your lead arm, resting lightly on your side.

3. Without hitting a ball, take a few slow, short and deliberate practice swings while keeping the rod AWAY from your lead side in the through-swing, until you finish with your arms just above waist high. You should feel like you are hitting a “punch shot” under a tree branch. Your lead hand should feel like you are turning a door handle. This will ensure your clubface is square at impact.

The goal is to keep the head of the golf club from flipping past your hands as you practice the punch shot.

If your body isn’t rotating your hands will flip. This will make you continue to rotate your body

Additional Videos & Tips with Information on How to Fix “Flipping” Your Hands During the Golf Swing:

Fixing “flipping” or “cupping the wrist” is one of the most difficult things to fix in the golf swing. It’s important to understand why you might be flipping and how proper impact looks and feels. (I recommend a lesson with a local golf pro because as Hank Haney says, “without a proper diagnosis of the problem, it’s hard to fix.”)

Here is a great video on why you may be flipping the golf club and how you can fix it.

Here is a another great web page with a video discussing flipping during the swing and how to better understand it.

Here is a great video from a golf teacher talking about the importance of the trail elbow in the golf swing. If you can work on using your trail elbow properly it will help you to stop flipping your hands at impact.

This training aid isn’t a magic bullet. You will have to practice, but this training aid is so simple to use it makes practicing with it a breeze. Depending on how badly you flip your hands it can take months before you start to see consistent results. That being said, “DON’T GIVE UP”.

If you can try to practice 10 mins/ day (you don’t even have to hit golf balls) you will start to feel the proper way to turn your body during the swing and to get your hands ahead of the club head. Start with slow swings.

About Me

I’m an avid golfer and have struggled with “flipping” my hands during my swing for years. I was hitting the ball left, and right, topping it chunking it, etc. It wasn’t until I started using an alignment rod to make sure I was properly using my body and hands until I got better. As you know holding an alignment rod and golf club can be a pain. This is why the Anti-Flip Stick® is so great. It’s small and can fit your bag easily. I use it as a quick warm-up before every round just to make sure I’m turning my body properly and my swing plane is good.

I’ve really improved my golf game and I think it can help you too. Just remember, this training aid is no magic bullet. You have to practice as much as you can to retrain your body during your golf swing.

I know from personal experience it can be hard to buy from a website you’ve never purchased from before. That being said, I’ve been selling my products since 2018 and have a good track record on Amazon, TikTok, Wal-Mart, and eBay.
